Two Years and Ten Days of Ortega

It just hit me — Ortega turned two a little over a week ago, and I didn’t even realize it. Not because it’s not important, but because I’ve been so focused on everything we’ve got going on. Between projects, planning, and growth, I’ve been numb to time passing.

Not only are we already halfway through 2025, but we just came off nearly selling out our latest drop — five shirts left. And we just announced our first-ever pop-up, something I’ve been dreaming of, and we’re doing it with some of my favorite local brands and friends right here in West Palm.

What overwhelms me isn’t Ortega’s growth — it’s the pressure I put on myself to raise the bar. To keep up with the brands I admire and the people who believe in what I’m building. The support we’ve gotten from friends, family, and complete strangers has been unreal. There’s something special about seeing someone compliment a hoodie I designed, seeing a complete stranger order a tee online or spotting someone on the street rocking Ortega without even knowing who I am. That never gets old.

We’re still so far from where I see Ortega going. This brand has always been more than just a clothing line — and yeah, I know how cliché that sounds. But every step forward makes the vision feel more real. These two years haven’t been perfect. There’ve been setbacks, doubts, financial stress, moments where I questioned everything. I’ve made mistakes. But through all of it, giving up has never been an option.

There’s still so much to build, to learn, and yeah — probably a lot more mistakes to make. But I’m fully focused. I’m grateful God has trusted me with this journey and surrounded me with people who believe in it too.

So here’s to two years and ten days of Ortega. And to everything that’s still ahead.

This is just the beginning.
